Introduction

This case describes the rehabilitation of tooth 21 in a patient with significant gum loss, which compromised the aesthetic appeal of her smile. The choice of the Universal Abutment 3.3x4mm from Neodent was essential to provide optimal gingival adaptation for the prosthetic crown, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing restoration. Additionally, using the Exocad platform's mirroring tool to replicate the anatomy of the adjacent tooth (element 11) allowed a more natural approach to the patient’s smile, guaranteeing a harmonious result.

Materials and Methods

  • Software Used: Exocad
  • Prosthetic Solution: Universal Abutment 3.3x4mm from Neodent
  • Crown Material: Lithium Disilicate

Procedures

  1. Post-Surgical and Gingival Contour Preservation: After surgery, the post-operative phase was successfully managed by the surgeon, preserving the gingival contour.

  3. Crown Planning with Artificial Gingiva: To closely replicate the dental anatomy of element 11, attention was given to designing artificial gingiva that would blend smoothly with the natural gingival tissue. The crown design was adjusted to create a smooth transition line between the gingival tissue and the material to be cemented to the abutment.
