Planning and Fabrication of Provisional Crowns for Healing Abutments
Introduction
In this case, the planning for the creation of 5 provisional crowns was performed, with the goal of capturing the implant healing abutment immediately after surgery. The planning began with a diagnostic wax-up, and once the dental anatomy was approved, the provisional crowns, also known as "eggshells" due to their hollow shape and 0.5mm thin walls, were fabricated to mimic an eggshell.

Materials and Methods
- Software Used: Exocad
- Crown Type: Provisional "eggshell" crowns (hollow shape with 0.5mm walls)
- Objective: Capture of the implant healing abutment
Processes
- Initial Planning:
A digital plan was created using diagnostic wax-up in Exocad. Once the dental anatomy was approved, the provisional crowns were designed.

-
Provisional Crown Fabrication:
The provisional crowns were fabricated with a hollow shape and 0.5mm thin walls, mimicking the form of an eggshell. -
Evaluation:
The provisional crowns were placed on the healing abutments to evaluate their adaptation and function, ensuring that the healing process would occur effectively while maintaining the desired aesthetic result.
